Five stars!

If you haven't figure it out by now our experts were raving when they tested this air purifier. High performance, Eco-friendly, quiet and low running costs- what more could you want? The only things our testers could quibble about was there is no heavy duty VOC /Smoke/Odor filter currently available as an option, but we know they are coming, and ECO10 owners can upgrade later. The initial upfront higher cost will put off some people, but the it only takes a couple of years before the reduction in running costs pay for increased upfront purchase price, and you can feel good that you are not adding significantly to the pollution of our planet. The BlueAir ECO10 produces less then 120 lbs. of carbon emissions per year, emits no ozone by-products, and the entire unit including the polypropylene filter is recyclable. And don't forget that comforting, lifetime warranty! The five star rating we gave to this machine is well deserved!

Lives up to claims

As of this review, I have two units only for two months or less. The product is definitely quiet as promised and even on the higher speed is manageable for sleep. It's designed to run 7x24. I can feel and smell the air moving. I can't say whether it's improved my children's health (too early). A bit larger than I would prefer but acceptable. Definitely a costly gad but in this area of healtchare (where I have years of personal healthcare experience), I think the money is well spent. Check back with me in a year ;)

Energy miserly

My mouth literally dropped open when I first saw this air purifier. It is a first class, quiet, powerful air purifier that only uses 10 watts on its HIGHEST fan speed – a fraction of a low wattage light bulb. This is an air purifier that you can afford to keep going, day and night, without running up your electric bill - and for people like me that is important. I regard this as an astonishing feat of ecological engineering. No air purifier, let alone one with a fan is so energy miserly. It would not be worth a hill of beans if it wasn’t the highest performing air purifier that Blueair has ever manufactured. What’s more, its filters can be vacuumed to prolong its life. The entire unit is recyclable; including the polypropylene HEPASilent filters which can be vacuumed to prolong their life. Can’t say enough good things about this machine, and I firmly believe it is worth the extra price. It got a 5-star rating from me and I do not give that out often.
